Barbie Smith is Processing Manager for Legacy Mortgage Team at Goldwater Bank.  In 2010, a good friend of hers thought her marketing and business management skills would be a good fit for his mortgage team.  So she jumped in into it then, and hasn’t left the mortgage business since!

Without doubt, Barbie works wells under pressure.  Her motto? “Getting it done, making it happen no matter what.” Her personal goal is to work with clients as if the were her own family, to thoroughly understand their needs, and accomplish their end goal while exceeding their expectations.

Barbie is highly detailed and organized and has a strong belief in communication to help clients in one of their biggest decisions they will make.  “Seeing how happy they are when they achieve their financial and personal goals, gives me total satisfaction.”

Barbie grew up in Cumming, GA and attended Lanier Technical College for Business Management.  She and husband Randy have three grown children, Christin, Lexi and Cameron, a sweet little dog named Peanut, and a crazy cat that goes by the name of Ninja.

The Smiths enjoy traveling and like going on family beach vacations, play games and build bonfires when the weather gets cooler.  “Thinking of the memories made and still to make with my family, is what makes me happy.”

When it comes to sports, Barbie loves college football. First and foremost she considers herself a huge ACC fan, and her team is Georgia Tech “through thick or thin to death do us part!”  She is also an SEC fan, and Alabama is her team.
